Enrico Maestrini "art"

Carpets have a great fascination to the people interested in this ancient art. In particular I deal with tribal patterns and carpets from the 19th Century.

Their communicative capacity is written into their simplicity, in their still modern patterns full of cosmical meanings and apothropaic messages. I am very interested in minor arts and, in particular, in fabrics.

Up here I show a broccato from the 17th Century.

The antique fabrics collection is much larger. I hope to be able to upload a catalog soon. I have an interesting collection of embroideries, which includes several precious table clothes.

Last but not least, a collection of ethnic embroideries.
